I had an obese client with diabetes. It have her some kind lower leg infection/swelling. She was using bandages filled with puss and necrotic/rotting tissue. The smell in her room was the worst smell I've ever smelt. I can remember the smell now even. A combination of rotting and sourness.
I'd always thought about becoming a health care professional, but incidents like that remind me of why it would be such a difficult job for me.
