A lot of people wanted a rebuild and high draft picks. We are 9 games into the first season of a few bad ones and people are already upset. I don't think some fans are ready for what they asked for.

Exactly this. They are basically in month 10 of a rebuild. It appears like they have a very good 23 yr old goalie. They definitely have two legitimate top pairing dmen, one of whom is locked down long term and the other who could be signed or traded for more pieces of the rebuild. They have a 24 yr old dman who looks like he is an NHLer and 27 yr old that looks like he might be. They have a tonne of defensive prospects.
Up front they have a 23 yr old who looks like he is a top six player. A soon to be 25 yr old who looks like he is a top 9 player and a number of vets that could be trade bait at some point in time. It looks like they have a number of talented wingers in the prospect system and they currently have 10 picks in the first 3 rounds over the next two years.
Not going to lose too much sleep over a loss to a team that is 16 months removed from winning the Stanley Cup.
