Its starting to form a picture of a man who was either severly depressed, or obssessive compulsive. While this seemed like a deliberate act, was it really a planned event.
I'm not trying to justify Benoits event, but everything that you saw in his public persona probably points to a disturbed individual.
He had to be perfect in the ring, on the tribute show they talked about his obsession with the business, and honoring it to the point of making a kid do 1000 thrusts because he showed disrespect. His kid was always in a suit. He was quiet and shy, and the wrestlers even said he didn't talk a lot in the locker room. With idividuals like that it dosen't take much for them to see thier lives falling into disarray and they go to extremes to control it.
I don't know, maybe Eddie's death was the first thing that started to trigger this tragic state of affairs. Maybe his wife threatened him with divorce.
Its terrible that a life of striving to be the best in what you do is erased with what I think was a fairly impulsive act.
Again this post is not a justification of his actions.
The repeated messages, and the fact that the door was left open and the dogs were fed before he killed himself says a lot about his state of mind.
If it was untreated mental illness, the demons that he was fighting are powerful and its a fight that nobody wins.
What a tragic ending, and what a waste.
