If I am reading that correctly that with the eSim you are looking at spending $48.50- there are a lot of plans out there that are less than that. Koodo and Virgin have plans for $34 with 10 GB of data. Bell also seems to have a $39 plan with 50 GB data.

If you want to shop around, I recommend going into the mobile store inside Superstore. I did that when looking for a new phone for my son and got a great deal. Part included getting $200 worth of Superstore points. The big thing is that they deal with all of the carriers so they can alternate as to which one is the better deal.
