CFL commissioner is probably a thankless job as he works for rarely unified owners that like to conduct business under a cloud of secrecy. If you are an excellent business executive there's probably far better paying jobs that bering less scrutiny with it. Cohon is the gold standard and Ambrosie pales in comparison but to be fair, the pandemic was no-win for the CFL regardless of who's running it and combined with the US leagues, it's made recruitment more challenging today.

-The free agency direction the league has taken as there's so much turnover it's almost pointless to get overly attached to players.
-Whining to the government they needed money to survive during COVID and not opening their books was just comically bad.
-The global initiative was kind of silly and pointless.
-The Genius Sports rollout was an utter disaster and disgrace as for an entire season, the stats were broken. That's simply unacceptable in this day and age from any professional sport.
-Officiating is as bad as ever and nobody trusts the command center to get any call right.
-The CFL salary cap is a joke with teams exceeding it annually and now this marketing money loophole makes a mockery of cap.
-The Operations Cap is extremely short sighted from a league that's long been victim to recycling bad/mediocre coaches. The league needs more coaches, more young, bright minds, not the same old mediocre coaches.

I don't think he's left the game in terrible shape but I certainly think there's a lot that can be improved if they can find a savy businesman and the owners get out of their own way. Time will tell.
