The restraint on professional regulatory bodies is overall I good idea. Think of it as similar to academic freedom. All view points are free to be expressed and explored. I think that there should be carve outs of when you clearly not representing your profession. Like you should be able to be a Doctor but if you don’t represent yourself as one on Twitter you should be able to spout whatever bull#### you want.
As soon as you use licensed titles in any of that information then your opinion should be regulated within the scope of practice of your profession. The whole point of regulating a profession is to ensure a standard of care is provided.
