I have refrained from commenting on this story until we receiver more confirmation (I'm not against speculation, but just wanted to get all the facts) and frankly I feel like i've been kicked in the stomach.
I was a HUGE wrestling fan for a solid decade + and always had the utmost respect for Benoit. Often considered one of the best technical wrestlers of his era he always put on great matches, watching him was always a treat.
As someone who was in the spotlight and from Alberta many people felt like they "knew" him, so to find out he did something like this is just unbelievable.
Unfortunately his legacy will be that of a murdering monster who killed his family, and it sickens me to think what was going through his head for those 36+ hours while his wife lay bound and gagged.
I will no longer remember him for the wrestler he was, but the monster he turned out to be.
