Backlund, Huberdeau, Andersson, Sharangovich, and I would add Lindholm and Hanifin, are all great players, but are somewhat more passive. I have felt for a long time, that the Flames lacked size, physicality, and most of all, swagger, as these guys have been the ones dictating the culture.
Now, Pospisil and Lomberg are leading the way with a new culture. Mantha has been a big factor as well. Guys like Kadri, Coleman and Weegar excel in this environment. And guys like Klapka, Bahl and Pachal are bringing physicality.
The aggression, confidence, and swagger that they are playing with is an awesome, and welcome change. And IMO, it all starts with Pospisil and Lomberg.

This is the thing for me. There is 'standing up for your teammates' and there is 'dragging the team into the fight.'
I love it.
Posposil and Lomberg obviously have the respect of their teammates. If they're in the fight then everyone is in it.
Thats what you want.
