UMass played two games this weekend. Game 1 was a regular season victory; Oddly, game 2 was an exhibition game, which they lost, but it doesn't count against their record. UMass is still ranked #14. They play in the Ice Breaker Tournament next weekend from Las Vegas. Game 1 will be against #15 Omaha; game two will be against either #5 Minnesota or Air Force.

#5 UND lost to unranked Augustana, but it too was an exhibition game. Interestingly, it was UNDs first exhibition loss in 28 years. They fell in the rankings to #6. They start the season against #13 Providence on Saturday

Niagara's loss to Ohio State was also an exhibition game. They play Clarkson for real on Friday, then St. Lawrence on Saturday; both games will be on ESPN+ for those who subscribe

Both Penn State victories were regular season games that count in the standings. Penn is now ranked #24, moved up three spots. They play #8 Quinnipiac next weekend, also on ESPN+
