This is my take as well. Yesterday was the best day to try and clear a guy.
That said, I think there is a good change MTL picks him up, since they are struggling with injuries.
I thought that Pelletier played well, but he was unable to steal a spot from someone else. He is far from bust, his positioning is NHL caliber it's just his strength in puck battles, and offensive drive that need improvement.
