The asset management decision was Mantha or Lomberg vs Pelletier. And with regards to Mantha, its about what they would get at the trade deadline vs what Pelletier is worth to the team.
I personally would have rather had Pelletier in the starting line-up this year over Mantha on the roster. But the front office wouldn't, which tells you how little they value Pelletier (lower than a low second round pick).
Outside of trying to lift Hubys spirits and have a good motor, he showed very little. And the guy wasn't durable enough to play a bottom six role. Too bad. I hope he passes through waivers and can develop into a quality top-6 player. But I have my doubts. He's small, lacks durability and doesn't have high end finishing skills.
