Judge Nothing bass player "Flea" passed away, but I can't seem to find a cause of death. It has actually caused some confusion on the internet because people were posting that the bass player known as Flea has died, which obviously makes people assume Flea from the RHCP. If you see those rumours on social media, you can ignore them.

Anyway, Mont "Flea" Bodine was the bass player in a three piece pop punk rock group that started in the late 80s and found some success in the 1990s. There were still performing until fairly recently. Although they never found huge mainstream success, they often were the supporting act on other big ticket tours like Green Day, Fugazi, Bad Religion, and others.

I saw them at a festival way back then and wondered why they weren't bigger. It was weird to me. Apparently they did turn down record deals and chance for greater promotion because they didn't want to leave their town or be away from their families for too long. They were one of those bands that many people never heard of, but have the respect of other bands.
