Pelletier has been almost invisible all camp. Coronato racked up a bunch of points against the other team's prospects and AHL players, but when the NHLers starting getting into the lineup, he struggled.
They're both going down, at least to start the year.
I personally would prefer Morton over Schwindt, but my thought is they want to develop Morton into more of a scoring than checking center in the AHL. He hasn't been pro very long and could do with some work down there.

Schwindt also has 4 years of AHL experience now. He is 23 and while is development isn't over he seems to have stalled our as a 4th liner and someone you can send up and down.
With the team lacking natural centers it makes sense having him as an extra.
It would be dumb to keep players like Pelletier, Honzek, Coronato or even the dman and healthy scratch them or use them in 4th line roles. They all need to play.
It's not a bad thing at all, it's actually great. We have some really good young players that can come up and play up the lineup.
Far better than the days of Warren Peters and Dustin Boyd.
