How he has performed at the AHL level means squat tho. That league is full of guys who play really well there but cannot translate it to the next level. In fact every single team has those guys on it.

Keeping hum in hopes he gets better when the competition ratches up seems ridiculous to me. He just is not NHL ready yet, and may never be.
I disagree. I thought he looked like a good energy player his first time up with the club before getting hurt. Injuries have really hampered him and that matters. Availability is the best ability as they say but I see no harm in giving him some more time to prove he can still progress and stay healthy. It’s not like there’s another player in risk of being claimed should they keep Pelletier.
