My wife used to work for someone who made $500K+ a year who was a technological moron but honestly a moron in general. Didn't do a damn thing herself analytically, just dumped bad instructions on people below her.
"Do this type of data manipulation and send it to me in 10 minutes."
"It'll take several hours to do this."
"No it doesn't. I was told you can do this in a few minutes with X program."
"We don't use X program at this company. We use Y and it doesn't have that feature."
"You're wrong, we have this program. The girl before you used to do it in 10 minutes."
"We don't have this program and the girl who has been doing this for you hasn't changed for the last 6 years."
It was mind boggling how someone as confidently incorrect as that like that was making so much money for so long and not at risk of being removed. That's basically a lottery ticket win.
