Duehr is noticeable this game. Glad he returned as I thought the worst. He is looking more and more like Duehr from two seasons ago. He either walks as a UFA this year, or gets traded. Hopefully he plays well and returns something for Calgary.
Parekh is impressing me more and more now. Great job at using his stick in preventing that high danger chance. He is finding guys regularly and quickly from turnovers. He has been night and day better defensively.
Honzek is a standout. Loved the pick at the time, and I love seeing him return back to form. The one thing I loved about Honzek was his compete, which went missing for a while. His non-stop motor is back, and he is relentless. Hopefully the Flames can draft a centre to match with him. He has a great release too, as well as his ability to make plays.
Gridin isn't very noticeable, until suddenly he is. First taste of the NHL, but he was very unlucky not to capitalize on that Honzek pass. That was a fantastic save, and it almost went in. Fantastic shot.
Basha has a fantastic compete level, and has really cleaned up his game. I thought he did a lot of good, but also quite a lot of bad with his turnovers, especially unnecessary turnovers. That 'sloppiness' has been completely fixed in his game by the looks of it - looks much more dependable out there defensively.
Pelletier was looking good early, but he is fading now. I think he gets the 13th forward spot, and rotates in. Hopefully it starts clicking soon.
I think Barrie gets signed. He is playing well.
