This is true which means your selections are more important. I remember for example in 2011, the internationals had a good team and it was being held in Australia. Els, Scott, Day Schwarzel, Goosen, Ogilvy, Choi, Yang... and they left out Oosthizen and Singh for Norman's buddies Allenby and Baddeley and it was a disaster. I knew then, international would never win again, not taking this seriously. You can go back 20 years and see how bad internationals captains picks are.
Compare that to how serious the US and Europe takes it.
