A central stadium, or anything with the city limits, would need: a willing partner in the City of Calgary, funding, multiple tenants, a community angle, CSEC, U of C, etc.
I just don't think enough of those things line up right now. Maybe they will one day, but even if they do, I'm not sure that Cavalry will be in a rush to leave their own facility for one that is shared and rented.
I'll settle for FIFA-approved turf at McMahon for Concacaf matches in February. Anything else is a bonus at this point.
