It's been years since I cared to buy a good stick, but Bauer Supreme for me was always the best.
Best way to get a good stick price wise is to hit the last year's bin at the sports store and try out a few that were $300+ and now are more in the $200-250 range. But you may have to hunt because if you're spending that type of money on a stick you're going to hit things with, don't let it be a "meh this one will do" purchase.
