The typical American doesn't understand the economy, nor do they understand that the president can do little to influence inflation directly.
They're not willing to actually put any effort in, they just hear Trump say "I'm cutting taxes
on the rich, raising them for you" and they jump up and down.
After that "they're eating the dogs" thing, if anyone is supporting Trump, they're not a serious person. The republic fell in 2016, it's just that no one realized it, since the decay is slow, but I'm not sure you can stop it. It's going to take the better part of 10-20 years to fix the damage caused by Trump, and it will be impossible to fix if he's re-elected.
