Been thinking about this for a while and I'm honestly still unsure about all of this. It really is a damn shame about the Scientology and Masterson allegiations ... they are definitely tainting the whole thing for me and it's something that is hard to look past. Is it enough for me to outright dismiss their new music with Armstrong? That's a more difficult question for me. I don't think I could ever completely separate the artist from the art, but where do you draw the line? It was easy for me to completely drop Rammstein because of Lindemann, but still unsure about this.
I would be much more enthusiastic about new LP music without those allegations for sure. I like Armstrongs voice a lot (Dead Sara's released some decent stuff as well) and the new song is just good enough to keep me somewhat interested (granted, it's a very safe choice for a new single). You'd imagine LP did vet her before choosing her, so I just wonder where they really land on all of this. I wish they had chosen someone without that kind of baggage, that's for sure.
