I understood Tommy's decision to try a more mobile option up front with Wähling instead of Lowell Wright but I would have liked to see us put Wright in earlier when it was clear that Kamdem was struggling to create offence on the left side. Overall, I think Wähling wide left and Wright as a striker is more effective than Kamdem out wide and Wähling as a striker.
I thought Aird and Shome were our best players today. Clearly we need to get healthy heading into the playoffs. 1st place is almost certainly out of reach now but getting up to 2nd or 3rd is key. 4th place is a tough road to the final as you have to play midweek and then travel 2 or 3 days later to play away from home. 3rd place at least gives us that home QF game to get into the 2nd semi final.
At our best, we are definitely contenders to win the playoffs but it's gonna require us having something reasonably close to our best 11. We definitely have some depth issues in certain positions that I'm hoping will be addressed in the off season. We used to have so many wide attacking players but are thin in that area now as well as at striker. I also think we need to add another CB and RB/LB option.
