I've managed to maintain my weight loss from my SE Asia cycle trip by continuing to exercise (bike and walk everywhere), going to the gym, but most importantly, eating smart and EATING LESS. I don't eat past 6pm, and supper is my last meal. It's made another noticeable difference. I'm not as hungry anymore and I feel like my stomach shrank. I've cut out the mindless snacking. All it took was discipline.

My back and knee have been injured for a few months (I went stupid crazy with running back in April - lesson learned) and so I've been doing lots of physiotherapy and stretching. I haven't been able to go to yoga for a long time or run or play soccer. Despite that, I've maintained my healthy lifestyle and my injuries are almost entirely rehabbed. I went on a fun 100km mountain bike weekend to the U.S with a friend a month ago which was great.

I'd like to do another long bike holiday, but I couldn't find one that fit my schedule and instead am doing a camping safari in Kenya+Tanzania this January. Cycling in Morocco is hopefully next on my list!

To anyone struggling with their weight loss/fitness, I firmly believe as we get older, it's 90% diet, 10% fitness. Resist the urge to snack on the couch and try to stick to 3 meals a day. You can do it!

Thanked, but I now feel somewhat guilty about the Carmel corn I’m shoving in my face as I read this.
