The father should be charged with every count of accessory to murder at the least. If you know your kid is a potential danger to others at 14 years old how the F do you go out and buy him an AR-15? Yes I know, murica

Those charges are a lot more substantial than what you were asking for. I don't know what they could do more from a prosecution standpoint.
