Yes, I believe that’s exactly what I said. Not sure but here’s what my gut tells me. Not sure why you find that to be so unreasonable

Are you arguing that it’s not fair for someone to consider something Pierre says to be grandstanding because it’s not something he’s been known to do?

And yes his seat is most certainly in jeopardy (his Burnaby South riding is being changed into Burnaby Central which is currently projecting CPC).

Ok so it looks like it’s a coin toss. Meaning there’s just as good of a chance he gets re-elected. I guess that means it probably is grandstanding, if he had little to no chance of winning I’d say his comments are fair but that isn’t the case.

The election date change drew a lot of criticism as it would secure pensions for many outgoing MPs, so much so that the NDP tried to get the Liberals to revert back the date but it was too late. Singh won in a byelection and as such his own date for eligibility is earlier than October 2025 (Feb 2025)

What I found most interesting was that the CPC weren’t the first to bring up this issue but are now banging the drum the loudest, perhaps it had something to do with members of their party not wanting to lose their pensions either?
