Israel is rightfully so being criticized for their response, but I sometimes feel that the way Hamas embeds themselves within the population and uses Palestinians as meat shields that they actually care less about the citizens than Israel.
Not sure how it stops, but again, I don’t think Hamas is interested in a ceasefire. More and more needless deaths the longer this goes on.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. You can see the tides turning against Israel and anti-Semitism ramping up worldwide. Hamas is getting more than they probably dreamed of from October 7, they didn't care about the Palestinians before and they won't care after the dust settles. Iran will be happy with the destabilization of Israel's relationships and Hamas leadership will get paid.
Israel got goaded into this thing and I'm not sure there's a path to any sort of meaningful victory. Just more senseless fighting like Ukraine/Russia.
