You guys are just making things up. He was captured prior to the war, on October 7. Israel didn't begin their military operation until a couple of days later. The operation would to repair the bullet wound would have occurred before any large scale casualties or depletion of anesthetics.
Hamas shot him, after he refused to reveal information on how to kill more civilians - clear torture. Then they operated on him without anesthetics, because they are bad people. There's no reason to try and rationalize what Hamas did.
