Even the bad effects seemed to fit in perfectly with the movies tone. Overall it was just a fun movie for all ages. Had to watch the 2nd one soon after but it didn’t live up to the first. Enjoyed Steve Buscemi but was otherwise bored and don’t think I’ll bother with the 3rd.
The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl (there was also a made-for-TV sequel called We Can Be Heroes that came out recently) will probably do the trick. Also Sky High, maybe High School Musical. I also recently watched the Lindsay Lohan version of Parent Trap with my 7 & 6 year old step-daughters and they really enjoyed it.
