I'm pretty familiar with him, as I was a big fan of his earlier in his career. When Lucic became an instant impact player for the Bruins, it kicked off a run of teams trying to draft "the next Lucic"in the first round- which included, for better or worse, guys like Mike McCarron, Tom Wilson, Watson, and many others.
Watson exploded in his draft year after being traded to Peterborough from Windsor, scoring 20 points in just 10 games, which led the Preds to take him in the first round of the 2010 draft, 18th overall. He spent 10 years in Nashville's system. IMO, he could've been more if he had've been given more opportunities, and didn't have to deal with so many injuries- he's 6'4", and can skate, and while he's not the best fighter in the world, he can provide toughness and physicality. In 2018-19, he managed 16 points in 37 games in another injury-ravaged season for the Preds.
