I'm leaning towards getting a 5 or 10lb tank of beverage grade CO2 then refilling the smaller canister vs putting the hose directly into the Soda stream. I use up a Sodastream tank maybe once every 3-4 months.

Just remember to weigh a full soda stream canister and never fill the canister over this weight. If you do and the temperature in your house rises the liquid will thermally expand and could fail the container.
