Read a bit about the making of and found it interesting that due to the motion picture restrictions at the time the ending may have been more predictable for contemporary audiences and the sex could only be heavily implied. Doing a complete 180, my daughter is growling out of Disney movies so we’ve been looking for new family movies to watch. A recent one was Spy Kids and my immediate reaction was what the hell am I watching? Was such a wild campy ride that fully leaned into the silliness. Even the bad effects seemed to fit in perfectly with the movies tone. Overall it was just a fun movie for all ages. Had to watch the 2nd one soon after but it didn’t live up to the first. Enjoyed Steve Buscemi but was otherwise bored and don’t think I’ll bother with the 3rd.
Well if she is growling at Disney movies there is only one logical next step!

Tarantino films.
