Yeah, not convinced it is either. NJ wanted to go all in and didn't pay a premium for a proven, but aging commodity. It will probably be a good bang for buck trade for NJ when all is said and done. SJ is getting a great goaltending prospect which you never know if they pan out. Gibson was supposed to be the next great one. Even great goaltenders like Blackwood who showed potential early, fizzled. So SJ paid a hefty price for the best goaltending prospect but who really knows if it'll work?

Yes at best it’s similar in value
Neither Markstrom or Askarov is clearly better value. Just different value
Neither return is clearly better, I would even argue Nashville has slightly better return
