If you order take-out and get it yourself, I'd still encourage you to tip even just a little bit - usually the only one who didn't earn it is the server who doesn't have to serve or wait on you.
I definitely don't tip as much for take-out as a sit-down experience, but even a little is a sign of good faith.
There's a great episode about it that I found interesting on The Big Story podcast, and how it may not be so easy to just 'turn off' in Canada.

I usually tip a buck when I do pick up if there is a bunch of cutlery and napkins and stuff.
But sometimes, I find people get too wrapped up around the percentage of tip vs the real amount.
"OMG DoubleF, why did you tip 18%? You should have just tipped 15%!"
"The server was nice. That bill was like $25. It's a difference of less than a dollar..."
Even for a $200 meal, 3% more is a difference of $6. That's not much at all.
