Yeah I'm surprised Winnipeg didn't have to add a little sweetener here.
Yager and McGroarty are close in pedigree but with McGroarty not being willing to sign and with him being a year older I would have expected Winnipeg to not quite get equal to better value here.
Personally I would have kept Yager I think - just with him being a center where I think McGroarty project more as a winger at the NHL level.
