That’s literally what they did. Maybe not a day, but definitely hours prior. It remained hidden until say 2pm and then it appeared. When Telus was doing the flames pages, it was hours after any announcement when things showed up on the flames website. Telus would publish/update after the announcement. Think about how web pages were constructed and rendered; everything was coded by hand…and that took time and then had to be checked and re-checked for errors. I don’t think that anyone thought that being a webmaster was such a fleeting job!
Now of course, it is real time and with web content management you can publish instantly…updated as they make the announcement exactly as you say.
On thread…I wonder how late the oilers leave announcing their intentions…like 7:29am?
