I was on the show with my kindergarten class circa 1985-6. It was very exciting. My mind was blown that Benny was not an actual bear.

EDIT: Another memory: Buckshot asked my friend his name, which was difficult to pronounce, so my friend just batted the mic out of Buckshot's hand. He became something of a legend around our school after that.

Ron Barge and Ed Whalen are two people that were just such wonderful Calgarians and beacons of goodness that you just wonder if there are any people left like them. And die-hard Flames fans.
