When you go kiss your children to bed tonight, know how lucky they are to have you, until when someone like this kills you and then you just know the sad truth, your just garbage in the eyes of the general public. 2 little children lost their dad to this person in the last few days. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...ents-1.7296180

I am also speaking as someone who doesn't have children.

Or know that if your sister or brother was dropping off their children at school and they were murdered at the school, in front of the children, your family member is well, worthless. No argument, let us just defend criminals, drug abuse and social decay. Let us minimize the impact that drugs is happening in society.

Maybe I will start a follow up to the gear grinder thread. "Ohh well" Posters can discuss assaults, robberies, sexual exploitations of their children, their parents being accosted, their sister murdered and their business and life's work going down the toilet.

We can collectively do a CP "Ohh wellllllllllllllllll" We can just brush it off.

Anyways I am out on this topic
Just because people aren't ranting and raving about it like you doesn't mean it's a nothing burger and nobody is taking it seriously. You mentioned uncomfortable truths and decisions that need to be made? Well, what truth is that, and what decisions? Because people way smarter than both of us combined have spent years dealing with these issues and nobody has come up with a solution yet.

Nobody disagrees that it's a problem and we need to do more. But I actually have first-hand experience with this sort of thing, and the reason you're getting pushback is because you come in guns blazing like there's an obvious solution that the world refuses to accept. So come on then, what's the move here?
