Fair point, for sure. I've seen some of the crap (public and private) that women get on social media. I don't envy having to deal with that at all... but the post I was responding to just says,
"if more than one person is asking about the dog then yeah I get why she blocked these weirdos". That infers that just asking about the dog makes someone a weirdo, and therefore blocking people for doing that makes perfect sense.
Again, though, I completely concede that women have to deal with so much garbage in their comments and messages, and I can understand how that would eventually temper them into preventative blocking. 100%.
