They're losing like 5k average fans per game each season. Normally you'd cheer on the stability of an NHL franchise running a CFL franchise but at this point I can't see how a competent/passionate local owner could be any worse than these R words treating the Stamps like a little league funding project.
I'm so F'n jealous every time I see the things that the BC Lions are doing to attract fans to a dying league, while the Flames just let the team die with the league. We're to the point this season where 25k (previously a weak attendance night) would be a major triumph for the Labour Day Classic. What a sad time for a once proud franchise and fan base. It's almost over.
