Flames blew it years ago, this is just the end result that can't be undone. They treated the Stamps experience like it was the Flames experience (which they are also in the process of ****ing up with a family needing to spend $250+ to get their kids into a game for a night).
They used the old business attitude of 25000 fans at $50 average ticket is better than 36850 fans at $33 average ticket because SIMPLETONS DON'T UNDERSTAND MATH!!!!! (have had that shoved in my face a few times on CP in regards to the Flames/Stamps while trying to explain the importance of young/future fans that only attend if parents can afford to be there, aka your next generation of season ticket holders).
Flames employed the same archaic strategy trying to apply standard business model to sports business model, when the Stamps is even worse for going that route than an NHL team.
