This is pretty much a perfect storm where you have two recent high picks on a team against the cap who had a hard time getting into games. Plus a team with an okay roster and cap space and only one significant player up for a new deal in the next couple of years.
I could see a team like Minnesota being in position to try this next year once they clear the burden of Parise and Suter buyouts. But off the top of my head, I don't know if there will be a team with young highly drafted players like this on a team squeezed against the cap to target.
