WestJet is an absolute mess right now though. Went out to Vancouver for my wife's uncle's funeral and the flight out on Friday was fine. Got notification on Saturday that our Monday flight was cancelled and we were rebooked for Tuesday morning at 6 am. According to the passenger rights rules, they should have booked us on another airline to get us back on the same day (their replacement flight was more than 9 hours later and other Monday options were available from Flair). No way to contact WestJet via phone, chat, anything. Their customer service was totally overloaded.

We ended up booking with Flair on our own to come back on Monday as we had no childcare after Monday. Now I have to complete a compliant to try and get our money back for the extra cost of Flair when WestJet should have done it themselves.

For fun, I checked our "replacement" flight that was supposed to leave at 6am this morning and it was cancelled too... if we had stuck with them we'd still be in Vancouver right now.
