Does anyone know if the Oilers could trade Broberg or Holloway within the next 7 days to another team? And then that team faces the decision to match the offer? Of course they would match in that scenario. Don’t think it’s ever happened before and I’m not sure why a team would. The acquiring cost is set at this point. Any team that wants either player would need to offer the equivalent of those compensation picks. I guess it would give the oilers the option to trade with someone else if they really didn’t want the blues to get their players.
