You don't have to imagine it. Canada is a free, peaceful, democratic country. That was built on the lands, stolen from first nations, who were brutally subdued. Claiming that such things are "unimaginable" in Canada is ignorant because this is literally what Canadians did - not just said.

And you know what? Suddenly, such a brutality towards first nations did not result "more violence". It didn't bring generations and generations of indigenous people looking to exact revenge on Canadians. Instead, defeating them produced a peaceful and free country.
