We were on hold pretty much overnight on the regular line. My wife slept (sort of) with the phone by her head. The woman who answered then had to be on hold with us for a couple hours while she tried to book us on an AC flight.
But then the next day I phoned the gold members line (which was not available the night before) and got through within an hour and they performed admirably. Once you get through its not too bad with any of them.
