Anti-abortion evangelicals make up a march larger voting block than Palestinian supporters. And they’re highly organized and politically engaged. So yeah, they can throw their weight around in the Republican party. And since they can get big wins on their issue by stacking the supreme court, their single-mindedness is politically affective. When Republicans win office. But they’re actually hurting Trump’s odds of re-election, as the abortion issue is a vote-winner for the Democrats (which is why it’s so prominent in their campaigns).
