I also found Deadpool to be great fun. Helps to have both the Fox movies and MCU to make fun of with lots of laughs and opportunities for fan service and cameos. The story is a bit of a mess with the villains only exisiting to move to plot along and some of the more emotional moments not really hitting. Also just because you make fun of the multiverse it doesn’t change that this is a multiverse movie. The story doesn’t really matter though in a Deadpool movie that is all about the meta and everything kind of fits together to provide a satisfying conclusion. Will give this a 9 which sits it in between the first and second movies.
Was a rare experience watching this is a packed theatre. Damn it was an expensive night out though. Can see why theatres are struggling when it’s only worthwhile to see big budget experience films in theatres with every thing else saved for streaming at home.
