One thing I'll never understand... why was the movie so bad? It was such a disappointment.I know Gandolfini passed, but they had so much material to work with. The origins of so many characters, with Dickie Moltisanti, Junior, and Johnny Boy (and Tony). Why did David Chase choose a different route, and backdrop it into a conversation on racial tensions and made completely new characters stars of the movie?
I saw it once at the cheap theater, and barely made it through. I can't believe David Chase worked on it for so many years, it was a large drop in quality from the show. The only saving grace was Michael Gandolfini filling the shoes of his Father, but he was barely in the movie.
