I actually find Shaw to be quite reliable, I’ve been with them for ages, and I’d rather not change. But I dread this song and dance every 2 years.
My threat to rage quit is also fairly hollow, as my wife is very attached to her Shaw.ca email address, despite many gentle suggestions over the years to avoid being attached to your ISP for email.
So I know that I’m going to get bent over by Shawgers. The question is when and by how much.

Try waiting until Black Friday to renew? I have done this the past couple of renewals and it seems to work for me- I pay $130 for Ignite 300mps and total TV package which includes sports channels and a decent amount of others. I also have the newer cable boxes/ PVR but they are coax and not WIFI so they don't use any bandwidth- I had to ask specially for them a few years ago
