I am still dealing with this nonsense from Shaw/Rogers. Since I am trying to avoid issues for myself, parents and technical support, I am trying to avoid moving to this Ignite TV and still have old school cable boxes. My parents won't be able to figure this out with the UI and I can't even begin to deal with PVR'ing their favorite shows.
If the technology legit did not work then I would understand but it's my understanding there is still some runway left on this tech. My mother has vison and hearing issues, she is used to her TV set up. What angers me the most is that if I renew with the Ignite TV, I get a great deal on existing services. If I maintain my equipment, I am $600 more a year. Talk about a financial penalty. This almost seems discriminatory in a lot of ways for older people without any sort of duty to accommodate.
